Day 50 of my challenge has been reached, and it is hereby officially concluded. Behind me are 50 days in which I have intensely engaged with a topic every day. I have learned, experimented, and tried new things. I have solved problems and discovered new perspectives. I have faced challenges and overcome many of them.
Is there a conclusion? Of course, but now is not the time to write about it. I want to gain some distance over the next few days and then write a summary with a fresh perspective. Additionally, I already have an idea for a new challenge – more on that soon. 😉
50 days of the challenge also mean 50 days of creating and publishing content daily. I did this here on my blog, but also on LinkedIn. During this time, 5,437 people subscribed to my newsletter. On LinkedIn, I gained 941 followers. I received countless emails and direct messages from people all over the world. They were often stimulating or made me smile, but they all had in common that they were consistently positive. I have received a lot of encouragement in the last 50 days, and that feels incredibly good.
In the past 50 days, I have learned something very important, and it is something completely different from what I had expected beforehand. I have learned to speak openly about the things I do. To tell the world how I think about it, what conclusions I draw from the things that happen to me, and how I can grow from them. This has apparently inspired many people, and I am touched by the incredible amount of reactions it has elicited.
When we reveal things about ourselves and do so in a public space, it is always frightening at first. I still remember exactly how hard it was for me and how much I hesitated. It was a process. But it is worth it. It is worth it because there are many people out there who struggle with the exact same thoughts. Who hesitate and grapple with themselves. It is not a weakness to openly deal with the fact that we cannot do something, fail at something, or are simply not good at something. On the contrary: we all start somewhere. The important thing is to set out and take on new challenges.
Let us be brave and create opportunities. The internet is a wonderful space for that. You can write about yourself and your story, and you can observe others on their journey. Encourage everyone who is brave enough to learn.
